Safety Protocols due to COVID-19

It is our top priority that we keep patients, staff and the community safe during this time and that we follow the guidelines set out by the Public Health Officer, the BC Centre for Disease Control, the College of Chiropractors of BC, and WorkSafeBC. Please read the following protocols.

Patient Protocols:​

Online booking is available for current patients only.

Initial assessments for new patients will be available by phone scheduling only.

A phone interview with the chiropractor and an in-office physical assessment will be scheduled.

The chiropractor will be asking you detailed questions regarding your injury/complaint and past medical history during the phone interview.

A physical assessment will be completed in the office after the phone interview is completed.

Please arrive 5 minutes early to the appointment to avoid crowding.

Please do not come in with unnecessary company to avoid crowding.

Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk prior to appointments and also in each treatment room.

Patients are required to wear a mask in the treatment rooms for sanitary purposes.

Clinic Protocols:

We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and hygiene at Shikaze Chiropractic. We thoroughly clean our treatment rooms after each patient visit and commonly used surfaces in the clinic.

Chiropractic tables, cushions, bolsters, external adjusting and massage instruments, and iPads are disinfected after each patient visit.

Female patients have the option of wearing treatment gowns. Female patients who opt out of wearing a gown will have a chest piece cover placed on the table. Male patients have mandatory chest piece covers

All gowns, towels and covers are laundered in the clinic after every use.

We have implemented the use of HEPA filters in the clinic to maintain clean air quality.

Patients are required to wear a mask in the treatment room.

Thorough hand washing procedures are implemented in the clinic.

The chiropractic doctor wears a medical grade mask during each patient encounter.

The front desk has an acrylic barrier used to protect our patients and the staff.

Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk and within each treatment room and should be used prior to your visit.
