CHIROPRACTORS
Dr. Zen Shikaze, D.C., B.Kin.
Dr. Zen Shikaze is a local chiropractor who was born and raised in the beautiful Okanagan in Vernon, BC. Prior to chiropractic, he graduated from the University of Calgary in kinesiology, majoring in biomechanics. This is where he discovered his passion for physical fitness and how proper body mechanics can improve physical function and decrease the chance of injury. This led him to pursue a career in chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. His focus in chiropractic is to optimize how the body moves through the act of spinal and extremity joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy and exercise so that the body can heal and maintain a consistent state of health and well-being.

Most of Dr. Zen's interest in physical fitness originated from his sports including freestyle snowboarding and downhill skateboarding. He learned how to incorporate fitness and rehabilitative exercise into his sports to optimize his performance and decrease the risk of injury. Chiropractic has now allowed him to take it to the next level to help others with their performance goals and to keep them doing the activities they love.
